Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the Night Shift team in Baltimore, MD. Under the supervision of a nurse, you will assist patients with routine tasks, transport patients, monitor vital signs, and report abnormalities to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Basic clinical skills for routine delegated patient care.
• Record and report pertinent clinical data.

Responsibilities

• Assist the patient with changing/dressing.
• Transport the patient by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair.
• Identify abnormal findings affecting outcomes and report to nursing staff.
• Escort patients to holding rooms.
• Assist with patient changing and removal of belongings.
• Verify patient information and orient patients to the environment.
• Obtain vital signs.
