Job summary

Patient First is seeking a front desk/clerical team member to support patient flow and billing processes. You will assist with kiosk check-in, escort patients to care areas, and handle demographic and insurance verification with accuracy and empathy.

The role includes cash handling, receipt issuance, and daily cash reconciliation. Strong communication and multitasking are essential in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic typing skills.
• Minimum one year of clerical experience preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 7 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Excellent visual, verbal, written, and typed communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willing to work at any center due to a staffing issue, center emergency, or a reduction of work.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients using the kiosk prior to registration.
• Escorting patients to the treatment area for registration and evaluation.
• Handling billing policies and insurable vs non-insurable charges.
• Registering patients accurately while providing excellent customer service.
• Verifying patient demographics, health, pharmacy, and insurance information.
• Answering billing questions and providing itemized statements as requested.
• Collecting money and issuing receipts for visits and supplies.
• Discharging patients and processing incurred charges.
• Receiving, sending, and distributing correspondence as directed.
• Answering incoming calls and distributing messages in a timely manner.
