Job summary

Network for Hope is seeking a Family Support Coordinator to guide donor families with compassion through the organ donation process. You will respond to referrals, coordinate with hospital teams, and support families before and after donation.

The role emphasizes empathy, clear communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff to ensure respectful care for grieving families.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree as listed; extensive experience and healthcare certifications may substitute.
• Experience in marketing, communication, teaching, healthcare, counseling or related public service roles.

Responsibilities

• Respond independently to hospital referrals within designated timelines, ensuring timely communication.
• Report relevant patient information to the Administrator on Call (AOC) for coordination.
• Confirm donor eligibility in collaboration with the AOC.
• Lead empathetic discussions with families, providing a safe space for grief and emotions.
• Provide continuous emotional support and education to families about the donation process.
• Obtain and document authorization for donation and maintain case records.
