Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Caregiver to provide residents with routine daily care in a caring, respectful manner consistent with their assessment and service plan. This role emphasizes maintaining resident dignity, safety, and quality of life in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, social engagement, and promptly reporting changes to the nurse. The position requires adherence to policies and procedures and a commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Be able to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with personnel, prospects, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Capable of working with ill, disabled, elderly, and emotionally upset people within the facility.
• Communicate effectively in a manner that is sufficient for supervisors, team members, prospects, residents, and families.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job to ensure resident privacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility.
• Assist with moving residents into and out of bed, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
• Communicate incidental information and resident condition changes to a supervisor promptly.
• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in activities and outings.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for care and assist as needed.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nurse.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
• Ensure personal care needs are met per service schedule.
• Participate in safety drills as required.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned.
