Qualifications

• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Deal tactfully with residents, family members, and staff.
• Able to work with elderly and emotionally upset individuals.
• Communicate effectively to supervisors and team members.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy of residents.
• Knowledge of facility EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and mobility.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents using safe techniques.
• Report any changes in resident condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Encourage socialization and participation in activities and outings.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and care needs.
• Observe and report changes in resident emotional condition to the nurse.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform additional essential duties as assigned.
