Independence Village Senior Living in Iowa seeks a Caregiver/Medication Manager to provide compassionate, personal care to residents and to pass medications on-site. The role supports daily activities, bathing, grooming, and safety, with documentation and coordination with nursing staff.

Responsibilities include vital signs, monitoring health changes, assisting with mobility, and maintaining a respectful, dignified environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must obtain Medication Manager certification on-site at community if not already certified.
• Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred.
• Desire to work with geriatric population.
• Training per state requirements.
• Must have current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsabilidades

• Bathe and assist residents with daily care (bed bath, shower, or whirlpool).
• Follow medication administration protocols for each resident.
• Assist in grooming and personal care for residents.
• Make beds and manage linens; keep rooms tidy.
• Answer emergency calls promptly.
• Assist with toileting and monitoring; change incontinent briefs as needed.
• Record vital signs and report unusual findings to nurse or director.
• Assist with mobility and ROM; ensure resident safety during transfers.
• Maintain resident dignity and privacy; adhere to Resident Bill of Rights.
• Participate in activity programming and care planning as directed.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of residents and organize belongings.
• Follow infection control precautions and report accidents or abuse immediately.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned.
