Job summary

InCommunity seeks a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) to provide person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. You will assist with daily living activities, medication administration (as authorized), transportation, and community participation while promoting health, safety, and independence.

A DSP I certification or equivalent is required or to be obtained within the timeframe, along with CPR/First Aid and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months direct support experience required; two or more years preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications required or obtainable within timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered services promoting choice, dignity, and independence.
• Assist with ISP, behavior plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Safely transport individuals using company vehicles to outings/work/day programs.
• Complete required documentation and reporting with accuracy and audit scores.
• Collaborate with team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, home environment and assist with meals.
