Job summary

Almost Family is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Oregon to provide attendant care, relief care, and help clients engage in community activities. This part-time role has potential for full-time hours as needs grow.

You’ll support ADLs, transportation, home tasks, life skills, and independence while following care plans and documenting accurately. A compassionate, reliable team player with a valid driver’s license will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• Experience: 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professional or personal)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• A team player who can also work independently
• Open to days, evenings, weekends, and overnights

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care, relief care, and DSA; help clients engage in community activities such as social events, shopping, and volunteer work
• Support Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) – physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs
• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and community outings
• Assist with household tasks and home management
• Encourage and model life skills and independence
• Promote positive self-esteem and build meaningful relationships
• Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate documentation
• Support the mission of helping individuals live life to their fullest potential
