Job summary

Almost Family seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bend/OR area to provide attendant and relief care. You’ll assist with ADLs, transportation, household tasks, and community activities, following individual care plans and maintaining documentation.

The role offers flexible schedules and paid training, with potential to move from part-time to full-time. A compassionate, team-oriented candidate who thrives independently is preferred.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 1+ year supporting someone with I/DD (professional or personal)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Team player who works independently
• Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, overnights
• Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, reliable vehicle
• Background check required
• CPR/First Aid certification obtainable
• Be able to lift up to 50 LBS
• Comfortable in diverse home environments

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant care, relief care, and help clients engage in community activities
• Support ADLs — physical, emotional, behavioral, and communication needs
• Provide transportation for medical appointments, errands, and outings
• Assist with household tasks and home management
• Encourage life skills and independence
• Promote positive self-esteem and build relationships
• Follow care plans and maintain documentation
• Support mission of helping individuals reach full potential
