Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional in Wilmington, NC to support individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. The DSP role includes caregiving, domestic tasks, and transportation with a 1:00pm-5:30pm schedule, Monday through Friday.

You'll document daily activities in the EHR and contribute to a supportive, IDEAL workplace focused on growth, flexibility, and training.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of housekeeping basics, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and in the community where the individual lives.
• Assist with housekeeping, meal prep, cooking, and cleaning; personal care tasks.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the client's schedule.
• Record daily documentation in the electronic health record system.
