Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in home and community settings in the Wilmington, NC area. You will support daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and transportation as needed, while maintaining documentation in our health records system.

We offer flexible Monday–Friday shifts with part-time and as-needed positions, paid training including CPR/first-aid, and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven nonprofit

Qualifications

• Entry-level role with on-the-job training provided.
• Basic knowledge of housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and in community settings.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, and toileting support.
• Transport client to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Help plan and organize the individual’s schedule.
• Document daily activities and reporting in the electronic health record system.
