Job summary

Abound Health in Lancaster, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
