Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Somerset, PA to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. As a DSP you will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live more independently.

Flexible schedules and real opportunities for growth are highlighted in this role. Starting pay is $17/hr with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments, plus paid onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required—we provide paid training and support.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
