Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Freehold, NJ to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs help with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to promote independence.

Starting pay ranges from $23/hour (non-acuity) to $33/hour (acuity), with a $1,000 signing bonus paid after meeting hours milestones. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, and paid training are offered, along with growth opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and communication
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicating with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules
• Participating in ongoing training and professional development
