Job summary

YAI - Seeing beyond disability seeks compassionate direct support professionals in New York City area for evening shifts, interfacing with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, provide emotional support, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment per individualized plans.

Responsibilities include transportation, documentation, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold or obtain and maintain valid Driver’s License with no more than five points.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Transport individuals to recreational activities, medical appointments, and community locations.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and progress notes for billing and care planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and infection control standards are followed in all settings.
