Job summary

Bridgewell, based in Massachusetts, seeks a Driver/Generalist to transport individuals to and from day services and residences, and to support Transportation, Day, or Residential services as needed.

Responsibilities include safe driving, assisting passengers, maintaining route knowledge, and performing basic vehicle maintenance. The role requires patience, compliance with regulations, and flexibility within Bridgewell's service programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 19+ years old with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must have a valid MA or neighboring state driver's license and a clean driving record (no egregious violations; no more than 3 moving violations in the last ten years).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport persons served to assigned programs and locations, ensuring proper seating and safety.
• Interact with passengers with patience and sensitivity to provide a positive experience.
• Be familiar with routes and locations, report route obstructions to management.
• Operate the vehicle in compliance with laws and safety protocols.
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance tasks as needed.
• Complete incident reports and administrative duties for Transportation and other programs.
