MIDWEST TRANSPLANT NETWORK INC is seeking a Donor Family Coordinator in Columbia, MO to coordinate the authorization process and support families during donation. The role involves interacting with hospitals, assessing family dynamics, and maintaining timely communication throughout the donation pathway.

The candidate should have an undergraduate degree, 3–5 years in a medical environment, and be able to work 40 hours per week with 24-hour call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; preferred focus in biological or social sciences, RN, social work or other allied health certification.
• 3-5 years experience in a professional position in a medical environment preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and participate in 24-hour call; must be available on non-call days if needed.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate donor family discussions with hospital teams to obtain authorization and provide support.
• Maintain an on-call schedule of 12–15 24-hour days per month and respond to hospitals within one hour when dispatched.
• Travel to satellite locations to evaluate potential donors and discuss donation with families as requested by Administrators On Call.
• Ensure smooth donor family communication and follow-up during and after the donation process, with attention to timelines and sensitivity.
