WellLife Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional in College Point, NY 11356 to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living, community integration, and health management. The role emphasizes compassion, advocacy, and partnership with families and healthcare providers.

You will support personal care, transportation, and community activities, maintaining careful records and communicating needs to the care team.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• A valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience (required for driving positions).
• Experience supporting adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide hands-on care and advocacy for individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
• Assist with walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids.
• Plan and participate in recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Maintain accurate daily notes, progress reports, and documentation in electronic systems.
