Job summary

WellLife Network is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with daily living, health needs, and community participation in Flushing, NY. This role involves hands-on support, advocacy, and documentation, promoting independence and inclusion for people with developmental disabilities.

The position emphasizes compassionate care, patient communication, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure safe, respectful, and person-centered services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Fluent in English for client communication.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License with at least 1 year of driving experience (for driving positions).
• Experience with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care, encouragement, and advocacy for individuals.
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meals.
• Administer medications as directed and support medical appointments.
