Job summary

Paladin, Inc. in Indiana seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in learning and maintaining independence.

You will implement daily activities, provide 1:1 or small group training, and ensure safety and dignity in home, agency, or community settings. Responsibilities include personal care, medication assistance where needed, driving between sites, and documenting progress while adhering to confidentiality and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years’ experience in social services or working with people with disabilities preferred.
• Compassion and concern for well-being of persons with disabilities.
• Must adhere to safety requirements and maintain professionalism.
• Compassion and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily schedules for community-based programming and classroom activities.
• Maintain records and reports to ensure funding and compliance.
• Provide 1:1 or small group training to address client needs.
• Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility as needed.
• Transport participants to activities and manage driver’s license/vehicle paperwork.
• Follow agency policies on confidentiality and PHI.
• May drive at multiple locations.
