Mildreds Helping Hands LLC in Indianapolis is seeking dependable Direct Support Professionals to provide individualized support to adults with disabilities, promoting independence, safety, and quality of life in residential and community settings.

The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care. ASL proficiency is highly preferred and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as caregiver/DSP preferred.
• ASL proficiency highly preferred.
• Experience with Deaf or hard of hearing is a plus.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete required background checks and training.
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living as needed.
• Provide support with personal care and hygiene.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Assist with light housekeeping.
• Provide medication assistance/reminders as required.
• Assist with errands, shopping, appointments, and community activities.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Follow individual service plans and safety guidelines.
• Complete required documentation.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment.
