Job summary

Alpha Health Services is seeking a part-time DSP to support a male participant with intellectual/developmental disabilities in the community and at home. You will follow the ISP, provide transportation, promote independence, and document progress while building a trusted relationship.

Responsibilities include driving to activities, personal care, supporting community participation, and collaborating with the care team. Requires PA driver license, background checks, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DSP or in direct care required.
• Valid PA driver license with active auto insurance.
• Ability to document progress and communicate clearly.
• Commitment to HIPAA privacy and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Transport participant to activities and appointments per ISP.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Encourage community participation and social inclusion.
• Monitor health/behavior and report changes to supervisor.
• Document participant progress and ISP goals.
• Support meal preparation and accommodate dietary needs.
• Maintain participant confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with care team and family members.
• Complete required PA ODP training and certifications.
