Job summary

LOGAN Center in Indiana seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist clients with developmental disabilities in daily activities and community involvement. You will work as part of a dedicated team across LOGAN facilities and in the community, focusing on client goals and meaningful employment pathways.

The role requires documenting progress, supporting independence, and transporting clients as needed, while upholding safety, dignity, and respectful treatment of all clients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience with clients with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver's license with insurance and acceptable driving record.
• Competent computer skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Willingness to learn and implement positive behavior approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive environment for clients in Life Enrichment and Employment Pathways.
• Encourage independence in daily routines.
• Actively listen to clients and respect their preferences and interests.
• Document service progress, goals, and behavior data daily.
• Assist with community integration and transportation as needed.
• Ensure safety and participate in housekeeping to maintain clean spaces.
• Administer medication as required per agency policies (training provided).
