Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide daily care, supervision, and safety for individuals with developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. The role supports residents, follows Individual Support Plans, and participates in behavior management as directed by the Residential House Manager.

This position will be compensated on an hourly basis. The position features full-time schedule with rotating shifts, includes overnight awake

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to monitor health and safety of individuals.
• Ability to assist with transfers, lifts, and personal care as needed.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor individuals for health and safety.
• Safely evacuate individuals from residence in case of fire or disaster.
• Physically assist individuals in transfers and personal care as needed.
• Educate, supervise and monitor self-medication programs.
• Maintain records and document daily data.
