Job summary

WellCare Homes seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide direct care and supervision for adults with developmental disabilities in a licensed residential setting. You will support daily living activities, monitor health and behavior, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote independence and safety.

The role requires lifting, mobility assistance, and adherence to Title 17/Title 22 regulations, with an hourly pay range and full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan and background clearance.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Health screening and TB clearance per Title 22.
• Meet all Title 17/Title 22 licensing and training requirements.
• Complete required orientation and DSP training or pass challenge test.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to adults with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care tasks.
• Monitor health status, document changes, and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation and incident reports.
• Safely transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Implement behavior support strategies and emergency procedures.
• Prepare meals per dietary guidelines and maintain a clean home environment.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and staff.
