Job summary

Whole Life is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist adults with developmental disabilities in group homes, promoting independence and community engagement. You will help with daily living activities, monitor health, and ensure a safe, respectful environment.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year in relevant settings, First Aid/CPR certification, and the ability to handle lifting and heavy responsibilities while maintaining confidentiality and person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license
• High School diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and support medical appointments
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping and laundry
• Engage clients in social activities, community outings, and choice-making to promote independence
• Use mobility equipment (e.g., Hoyer lifts) with proper techniques
• Document daily activities, observations, and incidents accurately
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA regulations
• Implement individualized care plans

Skills

Valid driver's license

1+ year experience in group homes
