Job summary

Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC in Keizer, Oregon is seeking a Part-Time Server for our memory care, assisted living and/or independent living community. You will provide excellent dining service to residents, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

This role requires knowledge of food safety, strong customer service, and the ability to work well with residents and staff. Flexible hours and a caring environment are offered to support wellbeing and growth.

Qualifications

• Food safety and sanitation knowledge is required.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and hair control.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents and staff.
• Ability to learn and operate kitchen equipment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required during employment.
• Current Food Handler's card issued by local Health Department.
• Understanding of dietary practices and related regulations.
• Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Create a warm, patient, and cheerful dining atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Accurately taking and delivering meal and beverage orders.
• Deliver meals promptly and ensure attractive presentation.
• Provide attentive service and check on residents during meals.
• Set up dining room prior to meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Clear and reset tables after meals.
• Take and deliver room service orders.
• Answer questions about the menu and dietary needs.
• Interact with residents and guests professionally.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Collaborate with wait staff and kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Dispose of food and waste per policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
