The Laurels of Fulton is seeking a dedicated Food Service Aide to join our Michigan facility. You will handle food preparation, assemble resident trays, and ensure meals align with individual diet plans.

Strong attention to safety and sanitation is required along with reliable communication with supervisors and nurses. Responsibilities include assisting with dishwashing, maintaining clean workspaces, and supporting state inspections when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; experience in institutional food service preferred.
• Ability to read and follow diet cards, portion guidelines, and sanitation procedures.
• Computer skills required; meet state and federal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store food per facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepare items per standardized recipes and safe handling practices.
• Operate food prep equipment per directions.
• Set up and manage the food tray line and assemble resident trays.
• Verify diets and trays match residents' diet cards.
• Deliver and collect tray carts to dining areas and units.
• Report equipment issues and ensure cleanliness of workspaces.
