Job summary

Lakeshore Village Nursing and Rehabilitation is hiring a Dietary Aide to support dining services. You will learn the food service routine, help prepare meals, set up trays, and assist with dishwashing under the supervision of the Cook and Dietary supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to read recipes. You must obtain a food handlers' certificate and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers' certificate.
• Ability to read recipes and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow the food service routine.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and wash dishes.
• Assist with serving meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of the dishwasher.
• Operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Keep kitchen clean and sanitary.
• Sweep and mop floors; manage trash.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
• Work cooperatively with all departments.
