The Laurels of Mt Pleasant in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support daily food service operations in our skilled nursing facility. You will assist with meal preparation, delivery, and sanitation to ensure residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, respectful environment.

Responsibilities include following standardized recipes, handling food safely, operating kitchen equipment, assembling diet trays, and delivering meals to units.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow diet cards and sanitation procedures.
• Computer skills are required.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned.
• Prepares food items according to standardized recipes and safe handling practices.
• Operates institutional food preparation equipment as directed.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line.
• Assembles diet trays for residents according to procedures and diet cards.
• Verifies residents are receiving the correct diet and tray.
• Delivers trays and nourishments to units as scheduled.
• Cleans dishes and maintains dish machine.
• Maintains clean and safe food service workspaces.
