Job summary

Archway Management seeks a Dietary Aide to perform routine dietary tasks in the facility's Dietary Department. You will assist with meal preparation, serving residents, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in accordance with regulations.

The role requires a High School diploma, ability to read diet orders and recipes, physical endurance to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexibility to work shifts, including emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions.
• Numerical accuracy for recipe measurements and cleaning chemical usage; good motor coordination.
• Able to work flexible hours, including during emergencies, with patient and respectful demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils and equipment as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long-term care regulations and Dietary Dept. policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Follow reporting procedures for supplies and equipment needs.
• Report damaged fixtures or unsafe equipment and maintain sanitary conditions.
