Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Dietary Aide to support the Dietary Department in meal preparation, service and sanitation. You will follow recipes, assist the cook, and ensure meals meet schedules for residents.

The role requires a high school graduate with preferred institutional dietary experience, ability to follow directions, and willingness to perform routine tasks with interruptions. Flexibility and physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• High School graduate; institutional dietary service experience preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate dietary equipment safely.
• Must work flexible hours, including during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines in the Dietary Department using utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Assist the cook in preparation and service of meals.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary policies and procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report damaged or unsafe equipment and supplies.
• Assist in receiving and storing food supplies.
• Follow infection control policies and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain sanitation and a safe work environment.
