Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to support the facility's dietary operations. You will assist the cook, help with meal service, and ensure meals and snacks are delivered on schedule to residents.

Responsibilities include following regulations, maintaining sanitation, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adapting to emergencies with flexible hours while upholding HIPAA policies and residents' dignity.

Qualifications

• High School graduate and previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and handle cleaning agents safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined dietary routines and operate utensils, supplies and equipment as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Provide assistance to cook in meal preparation and service.
• Meet scheduled meal and snack times.
• Follow Federal and State long term care regulations and Dietary Department Policy and Procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging tray cards, loading food carts and serving meals.
• Set up the dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment and supply needs.
• Understand and follow HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
