Job summary

EverTrue is seeking a Dietary Aide to perform dining service functions in the skilled nursing and assisted living memory care areas. The role ensures meals are served safely, at proper temperatures, and on time while maintaining clean dining spaces.

Responsibilities include assisting residents with food selections, preparing meals and beverages, and supporting cleaning duties. A minimum one year of dietary aide experience is preferred, with required food safety certification and Hepatitis A

Qualifications

• One year of dietary aide experience preferred.
• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Must be patient with staff, residents, and family members.
• Must have or be willing to receive a recognized food safety handling certification.
• Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with making appropriate food and beverage choices while ensuring options offered meet dietary restrictions/orders.
• Performs defined dining service routines using utensils, supplies, and equipment.
• Prepares dining room for next meal service; sets tables and refills condiments.
• Cleans dining areas and maintains HACCP logs and waste records.
• Follows safety and infection control procedures and reports hazards or incidents.
