Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation seeks a dedicated dietary aide to assist in all food service functions, ensuring meals meet nutrition and diet requirements for residents. You will help prepare items, serve meals, and maintain clean dining areas with a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 0–3 years in food service or hospitality, with Serv Safe or equivalent certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking and preparation of meal items.
• Thorough understanding of service techniques and requirements.
• Ability to seek instruction when needed.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Fundamental understanding of therapeutic diets, sanitation and service.
• Ability to interact with a multitude of various personalities and respond with patience, concern and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow and perform duties in adherence to Dining Policy and Procedures.
• Serve food in accordance with portion control and dietary requirements.
• Assist or serve meals including resident room service.
• Set up, deliver, and verify meal trays and dining areas; clean up after meals.
• Assist in obtaining proper food supplies and stocking for next meals.
• Follow safety precautions to prevent accidents in food preparation.
• Perform kitchen utility duties and maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Adhere to local health regulations and dining area safety standards.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
