Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; RADT or similar certification preferred.
• Prior experience in detox, residential treatment, behavioral health, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and the recovery process.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in high-stress situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for accurate documentation and team collaboration.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe detox and residential clients to ensure safety and well-being day and night.
• Assist clients with daily living activities, including hygiene, meals, and orientation.
• Document patient behavior, vitals, and incidents accurately per facility protocols.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement during detox and early recovery.
• Facilitate groups, program activities, and assist in maintaining client schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and structured therapeutic environment.
• Communicate with clinical and medical staff regarding client status and concerns.
• Enforce facility rules and boundaries with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
• Adhere to JCAHO and state client care standards.
