Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services, delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting as permitted by law and company regulations.
• Performs office duties, phones, fax, computer, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter and scale.
• Run errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or perform transportation duties.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pick-ups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations and services, including setup and item delivery.
• Greets and assists client families entering the office.
• Accommodates family needs during service or visitation.
• May wash and clean funeral home vehicles.
