Job summary

SCI in Charlottesville, Virginia seeks a Sales Professional to serve families by guiding cemetery arrangements and pre-need options, driving revenue, and acting as the primary contact for families.

Responsibilities include lead generation, building relationships with families, coordinating with funeral home staff, and ensuring compassionate, professional service. Evening/weekend availability and a valid driver1s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience.
• 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred.
• Current state/province issued driver1s license with acceptable driving record.
• Insurance license if required by state/province law and as prescribed by state boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation: prospect 1-2 hours daily; obtain referrals; network with community; present to families; track activity.
• Build Relationships with Families: respond promptly; listen and empathize; understand needs; stay in touch; prepare for appointments; resolve issues; seek referrals.
• Teamwork: coordinate with funeral directors and location managers; ensure seamless service; review past interactions; share family concerns.
