Fountain Valley Post Acute is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care and related activities in a day-to-day setting.

You will document accurately, maintain safety and infection control, participate in care conferences, and support training of staff while educating residents and families on goals and home programs. This role requires interaction with the healthcare team and commitment to quality care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills for Net Health and Point Click Care.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state; CPR may be required.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Staff Occupational Therapist with resident care as directed.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment with infection control and equipment protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing staff with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising OT to update physicians and the care team.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Recommend equipment to facilitate independence in ADLs.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and company information.
• Contribute to quality improvement and facility rehabilitation program development.
