Job summary

Fountain Valley Community Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the Occupational Therapist in resident care and treatment planning. You will document outcomes, maintain safety, and coordinate with the care team to achieve discharge goals.

You will educate residents and families, assist with training Restorative Aides, and help order adaptive equipment to support independence in daily activities, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with state

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care data entry.
• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state and able to maintain license.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per facility, government, and payer requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising OT to update physicians, nursing staff, and families on progress and discharge planning.
• Provide in-services on training programs for staff as needed.
• Educate residents, families about treatment goals, home exercise programs, and safety techniques.
• Recommend adaptive equipment to facilitate independence in ADLs.
