Job summary

Ojai-Health- is looking for a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the Occupational Therapist with resident care and direct interventions. You will follow treatment plans, document accurately, and ensure a safe environment for residents under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited COTA program degree and a state license, with proficiency in Net Health and PCC. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in computer systems used for documentation (Net Health, PCC).
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with the supervising OT to update physicians, staff, residents, and families.
• Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home programs, and safety.
• Recommend and facilitate necessary durable medical equipment to support independence in ADLs.
