Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will help maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation while delivering excellent resident service.

The position offers benefits and opportunities for growth within a supportive team at HCSG. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and follow dietary restrictions as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food prep experience preferred.
• Able to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Communicate effectively with building occupants, staff, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• May need to complete sanitation/safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within service area required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; keep kitchen clean.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents and staff, delivering good service.
• All other duties as assigned
