Job summary

The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH is hiring a Cook for our Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility. This 40‑hour weekly role runs 6am–2:30pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

You will prepare meals from scratch, manage prep and inventory, and ensure compliance with state regulations. Prior Nursing Home/Hospital cooking experience and ServSafe certification are preferred. Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in Nursing Home/Hospital type setting as a cook preferred.
• Servsafe required or obtained when hired.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Able to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Able to perform basic math calculations (weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements).
• Able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals from scratch and keep accurate inventory control.
• In accordance with state regulations, handle all aspects of food preparation (prep, cooking, baking, slicing, roasting).
