Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver in Roanoke, Virginia. You will provide quality assistance with daily living activities, encourage independence, and support residents in community activities.

Expect to report incidents, maintain logs, and help with meals, mobility, and transfers. The role requires a current CNA license, strong communication, reliability, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located.
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, push or carry 25 lbs, and safely transfer residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate staff and document them.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Plan and conduct activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assist residents to meals, activities, and movements around the community.
• Maintain daily logs and report changes to the nursing team and families as directed.
