Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society Desmet Center in De Smet, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care under RN supervision. This full-time role involves daily living assistance, documentation, and infection control adherence in a long-term care setting.

Eligible full-time staff receive a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and a sign-on bonus of $10,000. CNA certification required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification in state or be in process within four months.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition.
• Maintain infection prevention practices and use PPE as required.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, and personal care.
