Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in De Smet, SD is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) for long-term care. You will provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under RN supervision, including vital signs, mobility, and assisting with meals to ensure comfort and safety.

Requires CNA certification and a high school diploma or GED. State requirements vary; driving status may be needed. Competitive benefits and a $10,000 sign-on bonus offered for eligible full-time positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining.
• 12 hours of continuing education annually and annual competency testing.
• In some states, listed with UAP Registry.
• May require Sanford Category II Driver status and valid license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal support.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, range of motion, and functional activities.
