Lutheran Senior Services in the United States is seeking a CNA to provide daily supportive care to residents in a compassionate setting. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, supporting residents as directors of their own care, and ensuring comfort and safety in daily activities.

The role emphasizes collaboration, timely reporting to nurses, and involvement in care plans, with opportunities to assist in therapies and maintain strong resident-family relationships.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in IL.
• Direct patient/resident care experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with residents.
• Interest in person-centered care approach.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ comfort and provide ADL care; respond to call lights and report observations.
• Assist with personal care and promote independence where possible.
• Observe changes and report to the nurse for timely action.
• Participate in care/service plans to improve residents’ lives.
• Assist during meals and feed residents requiring full assistance.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and families with compassion.
• Support residents’ involvement in daily activity decisions.
• Assist therapies and treatments under licensed staff direction.
• Document care provided in clinical records.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
