Job summary

The Highlands at Wyomissing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality, person-centered care to adult and geriatric residents in a long-term care and assisted living setting under supervision of a licensed nurse.

You will support residents with daily living activities, engage them in social and recreational programs, document care, and follow safety, infection control, and Hearthstone Ambassador training requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years nurse aide experience with older adults in a long-term care or dementia facility is preferred.
• CPR Certification is required.
• First Aid Certification is required.
• Completion of the Highlands Hearthstone Ambassador training within 30 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct Resident Care: Assists residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, eating, mobility, and transfers.
• Health Monitoring: Observes changes and reports to nurse; assists with treatments and procedures.
• Resident Engagement: Encourages independence and engages residents in social, cognitive, and physical activities.
• Environmental Support: Keeps environment safe and clean with light housekeeping.
• Hospitality & Communication: Interacts warmly and communicates clearly and empathetically.
• Documentation & Reporting: Documents care and services per standards.
• Safety & Infection Control: Follows safety protocols, participates in drills, uses PPE and hand hygiene.
• Team Participation: Works with other disciplines to meet community goals.
