Job summary

The Highlands at Wyomissing is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support residents in Personal Care and Memory Support. You will assist with daily living activities, medication support, and engaging programs, fostering a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, documentation, and collaborating with licensed staff to ensure quality resident care. Per-diem shifts, with variable hours, no guaranteed benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years nurse aide experience with older adults preferred.
• DHS Medication Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, personal hygiene and meal support.
• Assist residents with medications under licensed nurse direction.
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes to nurse/administrator.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in appropriate systems.
• Engage residents in activities to promote memory care and well-being.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures, including DHS regulations.
