Responsibilities

• Identify residents before administering treatments, serving meals, etc.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts in an informative manner.
• Report changes in resident's condition to Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Follow policies on exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Help prepare residents for medical tests.
• Assist with lifting, turning, moving, and transporting residents.
• Maintain a warm, calm environment throughout the unit and shift.
• Participate in nursing report and communicate with nursing personnel.
• Greet residents and escort them to rooms, introduce to roommates and staff.
• Ensure rooms and beds are prepared for new admissions.
• Assist with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and dental care.
• Check residents regularly to meet personal care needs in line with preferences.
• Record food/fluid intake and report changes in eating habits.
• Keep water pitchers clean and filled for residents.
